Blogging Candorville
It's a slow day, so I thought I'd Google myself to pass the time, and found a couple blogs mentioning the Deep Throat series that ran in Candorville last week.
The Strips:
Day One
Day Two
Day Three
Day Four
Day Five
Day Six
The blog No Taming This Shrew says
...The past week or so of the cartoon called "Candorville," ...has been discussing what would happen if Deep Throat tried to leak information about a president today. Interesting and sickly funny.)
...and Scott-o-Rama says
One of my favorite comics, Candorville, has been taking an imaginary look as to what would happen if Nixon and Deep Throat happened in 2005 instead of back in 1973. How would things be different? How would the press cover it today? How would the public react to the scandal?...to which a reader replies "How did I miss this post before? You read the comics, and chuckle until your blood suddenly freezes." Of course, another reader replies "It's true. Too bad it's not funny too."
The comic's author presents a frighteningly realistic picture.
There's nothing like the Internet to keep you humble.

Just want to say thanks for the eye-opening take on modern-day politics and media. The Deep Throat story was frighteningly realistic. I don't think anyone could argue that that's how it would go down if it happened today, because we've seen it play out just like that over the past few years. It's important to put things in context and you're doing us all a service by doing that.
Wow! You found my blog. I feel honored. Your Candorville comment is one of my very favorites. I'm also a big fan of Rudy Park.
I also posted a couple of your comics of when Lemont tried writing a blog. They got a great response!
Kepp of the great work and thanks for keeping me entertained. It's nice to hear of voice of common sense coming from the media (even if it is on the comics page).
